Job Description and Responsibilities
B.Sc. in Safety Engineering or Occupational Safety from a fully accredited and reputed University; OR alternate qualification, B.Sc. in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, from a fully accredited and reputed University, together with internationally accredited diploma/certification in Safety Engineering or Occupational Safety [OSHA or NEBOSH]; plus a trainer or instructor certificate or diploma from an approved institution or reputed university.
Job Description and Responsibilities
Must have experience in the development, oversight and coordination of operational safety programs. Must have experience in delivering occupational safety training in the constructions and/or maintenance field, and risk management and management of change procedures.
Must be able to teach effective methods of writing safety evaluation and inspection reports to a professional standard, and thorough incident investigation and determining causal factors using root cause analysis.
Must be knowledgeable of work permit procedures and safety procedures used in hazardous environments, and be familiar with international safety codes. Must be able to teach HAZCOM, HAZMAT, BLS [first aid, CPR and AED's], and the safe use of fire extinguishers. Must also have experience in planning and scheduling.
Skills
Must communicate in English language (written & oral) effectively. Write short note/report in simple English and complete/fill standard forms such as maintenance tickets etc.
